.........or Bardantop Canine Academy!

  Sometime ago a friend asked for help training his young labrador,and a pleasant summer was spent training our dogs and his.The following year we were joined by another labrador and a vizsla,and so every year we grew a little more adding both labradors and vizslas.
  It soon became necessary to extend our training to cater for the
differing needs and abilities of the handlers.
  We trained weekly,starting in March......had 'special' days for the different groups:puppy hunting in the spring,water days in the summer,steadiness days whenever we had a gap!and breed specific days for spinone and vizslas.Occasionally we have asked 'outside'trainers to spend the day with us and have used the services of Trevor Rigby (Dorntanza),Ray Davies(Freshetin) and Andy Cullen MBE (Laochin).
  We have had various breeds come to Bardantop:GSPs,GWPs,HWVs,a goldie and possibly the most challenging.......a SPRINGADOR!
  BCA isn't just about dog training,its about having FUN.........for the handlers we also have social days:summer barbeques,mini tests and we finish the year with a Christmas dinner at our local pub.Friendships have also been forged through our shared love of working gundogs.
  Initially our training was just to have a well trained shooting dog,but now there are several of our number competing with considerable success.Their successes are recorded in the BCA book and Peter and I are VERY proud of all that they achieved.
  People and their dogs have come and gone,but our core group stays the same...........thank you for your support and friendship.........look forward to seeing you all next year!
